Cara Laine cards are sold only through resellers. To become a dealer, or to find the one nearest you, use our store locator.

What type of photo do you need?

We can work from a wide range of photos, black and white, or color. We prefer to begin our black and white designs from a color print. Our other preferences include:

• light colored clothing and background
• low contrast
• detail in whites
• sharp focus (not soft focus)
• For photo prints, we prefer gloss finish. (Not negatives.)
• For digital photos, we require JPG files of at least 1024x768 pixels (high quality). Please do not send digital printouts.

Can I use a professional photo?

Due to copyright laws, photos taken by commercial photographers can only be used if we have written permission from the photographer to reproduce their photo. Your Cara Laine dealer can give you a release form for your photographer, or the photographer may use their copyright release form on studio letterhead.

How long will it take to get my cards?

To calculate the time until you receive completed cards, ADD production time, proof time and shipping time.

• PRODUCTION TIME: Our staff carefully produces your order in about 3 business days. From mid-November through December we require about 6 business days. (Business days do not include weekends or holidays. For an accurate count do not include the day we receive your order).
  
  
• PROOF TIME: You will need to approve your proof before we produce your cards. Email or hard-copy proofs are available. Your order will be shipped out about one business day after final approval is received from you.
  
  
• SHIPPING TIME: Be sure to include the time to ship in your turnaround calculation. Express Shipping "2nd Weekday" service and "Next Weekday" service are available.  

Reorders can be placed for up to one month after the order has been shipped.
